The Parade Commemorating the Prisons Department anniversary included the launching of the Prisons Department's Phase 3 Paddy Planting Project. The project was implemented through a collaboration between the Prisons Department and Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam as well as the Department of Agriculture and Agrifood.

The project was inaugurated by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs. This paddy planting initiative among other things, aims to provide learning and practical experience to the inmates in the field of agriculture as well as to develop useful skills in preparation for life after being released.
